On Saturday 1st November 2025, the Daisy Garland Fundraiser took place for the final time, marking the end of an event that has raised vital funds for epilepsy support over many years.
SOS Group has proudly supported the Daisy Garland Fundraiser throughout its history. Over the years, our team has purchased raffle tickets, donated raffle prizes, and more recently attended the event in person to show ongoing support. This final fundraiser held particular significance, both for those involved and for the families the charity supports.
The fundraiser holds a very special place in the heart of SOS Group employee Stephanie Patterson, Administrator and Health & Safety Officer. The charity was chosen because of Stephanie’s husband’s cousin, Tasha, who lives with epilepsy. Tasha has experienced the condition from a young age, and it continues to affect many aspects of her life as she enters her teenage years.
Despite trying a wide range of medications, managing seizures remains an ongoing challenge. As epilepsy affects everyone differently, triggers and experiences vary, making awareness, research and support crucial for families living with the condition. When Tasha was younger, her family made the decision to raise funds for Daisy Garland, a charity dedicated to supporting children with epilepsy and their families.
Saturday’s fundraiser was the final event of its kind, bringing years of commitment and fundraising to a close. The day was a great success, raising a total of £808 for the charity. While this marks the end of the Daisy Garland Fundraiser, the family’s support for the charity will continue. Going forward, Tasha’s mum, Vicky, will be hosting afternoon tea events to raise further funds and continue supporting Daisy Garland’s important work.
SOS Group is proud to stand behind causes that matter to our team and their families. Supporting charities like Daisy Garland reflects our wider commitment to community, care and making a positive difference beyond the workplace.
