Supporting the community is an important part of who we are at SOS Group. As a North East-based business that operates nationwide and beyond, we are proud to champion charities, grassroots organisations, sports clubs and community projects that make a real difference to people’s lives. Our focus is on providing meaningful, long-term support that reflects our values and reinforces our commitment both to the North East and the wider communities we serve.

We believe that effective community support isn’t about responding to every request, it’s about choosing the initiatives where we can make the biggest impact. Every year, we carefully select a small number of charities and community partners who align with our ethos and who benefit most from sustained, hands-on support. This ensures each partnership receives the time, resources and attention it deserves.

Because of this focused approach, we only have a limited number of partnership spaces available each year. To keep the process fair and transparent, we review new charity and community support requests once annually, rather than accepting enquiries throughout the year. Information on when our applications open will be shared across our social media channels, allowing organisations to prepare and apply at the right time.

This page is not a place for ongoing sponsorship or donation requests. Instead, it serves as our Community & CSR Hub, a central space to showcase the projects we’re proud to support and highlight the positive impact being made across the North East, the UK and beyond. From regional charities to national initiatives, this hub brings together our success stories, partnerships and achievements.

As we continue to grow, our mission remains the same: to act responsibly, support communities with purpose and contribute positively to the people and organisations who need it most.

Our CSR Approach

At SOS Group, our approach to Corporate Social Responsibility is built on three core principles:

  1. Long-term impact over short-term gestures
We don’t spread ourselves thin with one-off contributions. Instead, we focus on partnerships that allow us to deliver meaningful, measurable support throughout the year.
  2. Supporting organisations that align with our values
We look for charities, clubs and community-led projects that are committed to making a genuine difference. Whether through financial support, equipment donations, volunteering or awareness-building, we only partner with organisations whose goals strongly resonate with our own.
  3. Championing our region while supporting communities nationally
While our roots are firmly in the North East, our operational footprint extends nationwide and beyond. This means our CSR activity includes both regional initiatives and projects across the UK.

Recent Community Initiatives

Over the years, we’ve supported a wide range of causes, from grassroots charities to mental health groups, youth sports clubs, community events and national initiatives.

Community Support Planning & Future Requests

To ensure we can deliver meaningful and effective community support, our CSR budgets are planned and allocated well in advance. All community and charity support budgets for 2026 are now fully allocated, and we are unable to consider any new requests for support during this period.

We understand that many organisations do important and valuable work, and while we’re not able to respond to ad-hoc or short-notice requests, we do want to remain open and transparent about future opportunities.

Organisations wishing to be considered for 2027 community or charity support may register their interest by emailing csr@sosgroup-ltd.co.uk. Messages received via this inbox will be reviewed as part of our forward planning process, and we will make contact if an opportunity to explore support becomes available.

Please note that submitting an enquiry does not guarantee support, and we kindly ask that organisations do not contact other SOS Group email addresses or team members regarding community funding. This helps us manage requests fairly and ensures our CSR activity remains focused and impactful.

Updates regarding future community initiatives and any changes to our CSR planning will always be shared through our official social media channels.
