Forest Hall Bowling Club was the venue for the annual invitational competition on a nice, warm day.
Twenty-four pairs of players, 48 players in total, from clubs around the region, battled it out for the first prize of £250, runners-up £125 and losing semi-finalists £50.
Fantastic games throughout the day, and the final was another classic.
The winners were Chris Cowan and Joe Harrison, valiant runners-up Paul Tait and Malcolm Miller.
This was the second year running that SOS had sponsored the competition. SOS provided on the day to every player with a bag of food and bottles of water, which kept them all fed and hydrated. Also, brought along a large TV and a stand to help show the scores and games in the main clubhouse.
The ongoing support for the competition is in addition to other facilities we’ve provided during the season to date. New state-of-the-art colour photocopier, printer, and scanner device. Shredder to ensure that anything confidential is securely shredded. SOS has commissioned and produced all the scorecards, competition scorecards, and club handbook for the season.
